Black Magic at Eden Park in the RWC Semi Final
October 17th 2011 08:42
Nga mihi nui ki a koutou All Blacks! Last night the men in black wove sheer magic around the Wallabies in the 2011 Rugby World Cup Semi Final and the spell that has kept them from Australian defeat at Eden Park since 1985, remains unbroken.
Last week was a tense week in Aotearoa New Zealand. Many doubted a team without Carter. Many feared for Ritchie Mc Caw with his problem foot. Many doubted the new kids on the All Black block. Oz Media taunts about “choking” had everyone rattled.
But, in the end, the All Blacks played a blinder. Ritchie McCaw was his old sensational self and new boy, Aaron Cruden, proved himself.
The post game mood was a mixture of delirious joy and giddy relief.
Now one last challenge remains – the final against France next weekend!
