Travel Stripe - September 2011

With black flags flying everywhere from Rakiura to Reinga, there’s no doubt that Aotearoa New Zealand is 100% behind their iconic Rugby team. And with just a little over four weeks to go until the grand final, Travelstripe has finally made it back to the land of the long white cloud, to lend her support, as the All Blacks battle it out for the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

The Waitakere Ranges New Zealand
The heartland of Aotearoa

Longstanding followers may recall Travelstripe’s commentaries on the 2007 contest. If not, (or if you happen to be a new or recent reader) a scroll down to the archives section on the left of this post and a couple of quick clicks on September and October, 2007 will bring it all back – the people, the places , the games, the highs and the lows.
For more of the same (but hopefully without any lows) follow Travelstripe as she makes her way up up the islands, from south to north and back to the final showdown at Eden Park on October 23rd.
The prediction from here in the heartland South Canterbury Rugby, is for a resounding All Blacks victory.
